The parade, planned this year for June 3rd, 2012, is the world’s largest gathering in celebration of Israel, commemorating its 64th Independence Day. It is attended annually by more than 250,000 spectators in addition to hundreds of marching groups, bands, organizations and schools. The famous parade takes place on NYC’s Fifth Avenue and is preceded by a 4 mile run in Central Park.

Speaker Fanya Heller is a Holocaust survivor, author and educator who wrote “Love in a World of Sorrow: A Teenage Girl’s Holocaust Memoirs.” In the book, she details the story of how she survived the horrors of the Holocaust by hiding from the Nazis with the help of two Christian rescuers.

Description

Schnur Associates Inc. has recently launched “SAI Digital”, a full-service Digital PR Integration division. SAI Digital aims to offer full PR integration between our proven PR strategies and the online arena including strong social networking strategies. We are maintaining a rolling application process for our intern programs. The intern positions range from two to four months in duration. Schnur Associates Inc. serves clients in the following fields:

- Technology

- Consumer

- Corporate

- Government & Public Policy

- NGO and Non-Profits

Qualified interns may share their preference in industry-specific PR accounts.

Requested QUALIFICATIONS:

Intern candidates should have a minimum of one internship within the public relations industry or similar experience. An intern must be able to work effectively with a variety of account service staff within a specific set of accounts. S/he must have good organizational skills and the ability to adapt to assignments and deadlines. S/he must have solid knowledge of MS Office Suite, with Adobe-suite a Plus. In addition, s/he must have good verbal and written communication skills. S/he must demonstrate the ability to become a strong writer, using AP style. Familiarity with the public relations discipline through related professional/collegiate experience is desirable as well as general knowledge of diverse business, private, and public sector entities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Media relations, writing/editing, research, and overall application of industry knowledge
· Strategic planning and partaking in client strategy meetings

· Planning, implementation and evaluation of social media activity for a variety of clients

· SEO and Blogging tasks

·      General account service assigned by the supervisor
·      Update media lists and pitch the media
·      Assist with preparation of press kits for distribution
·      Assist in writing press releases or press kit pieces
·      Conduct and compile research as directed by supervisor
