New York, NY – Fancy-color diamonds brand, Leibish & Co., has unveiled the industry’s first, most comprehensive color guide to fancy-color diamonds. In a stunning display of 234 different color shades and forms of diamonds, Leibish & Co. offers the most color-authentic guide the industry has ever seen. Unveiling the guide was President and Founder Leibish Polnauer who shared the significance of the outcome: “The ‘World of Colors’ is a magnificent guide that is much needed and sought after in the industry. It offers consumers and investors alike a full layout of the wide range of any possible color shade available in the form of a diamond.”

The premier launch of “World of Colors” took place during the company’s New York City display of a fancy-color diamond jewelry collection. The collection included a stunning $2.5M 33.83 carat Fancy Vivid Yellow Radiant VVS2 earring set. Also on display was a Leibish & Co. exclusive Four Seasons Pendant Diamond Necklace - a 5.01 carat Fancy Vivid Zimmi Yellow, VVS2 emerald stone set in a magnificent ring with 0.90ct W taper baguette side stones valued at $400,000.

But the greatest item drawing the crowd’s attention was the “Prosperity Diamond” – a 1.68 carat Vivid Argyle Pink Radiant diamond set in a double halo ring radiant, I1 valued at $1M. The diamond, one of six Argyle Pink stones won by Leibish & Co. in the annual Argyle Tender, is believed by the Chinese to attract prosperity and good luck due to its rare mystical number combination “1-6-8”, the luckiest possible number according to Chinese belief.

The Medical Profession and the Holocaust

Although sworn to heal, many German physicians, imbued with Nazi ideology, believed that the best way to care for the German people was to kill those who were seen as biological threats to the “Aryan race.” Beginning with the T-4 “euthanasia” program, which murdered thousands of mentally and physically disabled, and ending with the genocide of the Jews and the murder of many others, physicians gave the aura of scientific respectability to the destruction of millions of human beings.

Educators will learn about the development of Nazi medicine from its roots in the eugenics movement through its practice by Josef Mengele and others. They will also consider the ethical ramifications that Nazi medicine has had on medicine and science since the end of the Second World War.

Participants are invited to tour the Museum before the conference. The conference will conclude with a light dinner (dietary laws observed).
